Health
Fairs: Volunteers are needed to help with our
information booth at health fairs, to answer questions and give
out literature.
u
Speakers Bureau: Is your mission the same
as ours- to educate and support Alaskans with Alzheimers
disease and related disorders? Through your expert and professional
presentation skills, Alaskans will increase personal knowledge
of the disease.
u
Advocates: We need people with a desire to lend their voices
to issues important to seniors and to the Agency. Advocates
contact lawmakers at the state and federal levels regarding
upcoming issues in legislature, they follow bills through the
legislative process, and they inform other citizens of pending
bills before the House or Senate. To know more about the issues

u Clerical and Administrative: It
may not be glamorous but is very important to us. Your help with
filing, copying, faxing, data input and telephoning
keeps us going.
u
Photographer:
Do you enjoy taking pictures? You can be our photographer at events
and programs.
u Translator / Interpreter: We serve many Alaskans whose
primary language is not English. Imagine the profound relief clients
will feel when you translate or interpret our services, brochures,
correspondence and requests. Our service is limited unless you
are willing to help.
u Fundraising Events: Do you like
to work on projects that have grand goals and concrete beginning
and end dates? If you answered yes then event coordination
is the place for you! We need leaders and we need followers for
logistics, publicity and participant recruitment.
u
Connections: You can call people caring for a family member
with dementia and provide support, information and connections
to community services.
