Janice

Janice has worked with ARA for over 15 years.  She started her career as an In-Home Service Specialist providing services to rural villages all across Alaska. After transitioning to an Education Specialist, she continues to enjoy enriching the lives of people living with dementia and their care partners by offering encouragement and hope to make their dementia journey a little bit easier.

Janice has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development through Warner Pacific University in Portland, Oregon.  She is also a Positive Approach to Care (PAC) Certified Independent Trainer and a PAC Certified Engagement Leader offering best practices in dementia care.

One of her accomplishments is having been a care partner to her parents and currently caring for a family member.  Her philosophy: Dementia challenges us to respond in different ways to offer hope, meaning, and quality of life to people living with dementia and their care partners.
