Positive Approach to Care (PAC) Training for First Responders
When responding to an emergency involving someone living with dementia, understanding how to communicate, build trust, and reduce distress can make all the difference.
Join Alzheimer’s Resource Alaska for a special Positive Approach to Care (PAC) training led by Beth Nolan. This interactive, hands-on training introduces practical, person centered techniques to help first responders recognize dementia related changes in behavior and communication, navigate challenging interactions, and provide safer, more compassionate care.
This training is specifically designed for fire and law enforcement personnel, first responders, and search and rescue teams, including anyone who may encounter individuals living with dementia in the performance of their duties.
In Alaska, where emergency response and search and rescue efforts can present unique challenges, equipping those on the front lines with dementia care skills is an important step toward building safer, more supportive communities.
Food will be provided. Space is limited.
