Medicaid Waiver eligibility is based on meeting either Nursing Facility Level of Care (NFLOC) or Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals.
We also assist individuals who are exploring Medicaid Waiver eligibility or transitioning from other support systems.

What is a Medicaid Waiver?
A Medicaid waiver in Alaska helps eligible individuals who need long-term care—such as those with Alzheimer’s, developmental, physical, or medically complex disabilities—receive services in their homes or communities instead of institutions, through a multi-step process involving eligibility determination, coordination with an ADRC or DDRC, and assistance from a Care Coordinator to complete applications and develop a support plan.
