Outreach

Connecting Alaskans to Resources, Support, and Hope

At Alzheimer’s Resource Alaska (ARA), outreach is at the heart of what we do. Our outreach team works across the state to engage, provide education, and ensure that every Alaskan, no matter where they live, knows how to access support and information related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. We also promote brain health and share practical steps to help reduce the risk of cognitive decline, supporting Alaskans in maintaining their independence and quality of life.

You might find us at:

  • Senior centers and community gatherings

  • Conferences and professional workshops

  • Cultural celebrations and tribal gatherings

When we show up we go beyond just brochures. We bring understanding, empathy, and connection to the full breadth of ARA and community resources.

What We Offer

Community Presentations

Our outreach staff provide presentations on topics such as:

  • Understanding Alzheimer’s and other dementias

  • Reducing risk and promoting brain health

  • Caring for someone with memory loss

  • How to access ARA services and supports

  • Preparing for aging with dignity and independence

Presentations are available to community groups, faith organizations, tribal organizations, senior housing communities, medical offices, workplaces, and more both in person and virtually.

Resource Sharing

Our outreach team brings with them a wealth of information: printed materials, digital resources, and real conversations. We help individuals and families understand what services are available, how to access support, and what steps to take next.
