Caregiver 101: Long Distance Caregiving
Providing care from a distance brings unique challenges, from coordinating services to staying connected across miles. CG101: Long Distance Caregiving offers practical guidance for those supporting a loved one with dementia when they cannot be there in person every day. In this Caregiving 101 class, participants will learn strategies for effective communication, organizing care from afar, and building a reliable local support network.
This class also addresses the emotional realities of long distance caregiving, including managing stress, uncertainty, and feelings of guilt. Caregivers will gain tools to stay informed, advocate effectively, and maintain meaningful connection despite the distance. Designed for family members, friends, and professionals, this session provides supportive, real world approaches to navigating care with confidence and compassion.
