Community Conversation on Brain Health

May 13 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Join us for a community presentation focused on understanding Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, what changes in memory may mean, and steps you can take to support long term brain health. This conversation is designed to be approachable, informative, and relevant for anyone who wants to learn more. During our visit, we will also share information about Alzheimer’s Resource Alaska and the services available to individuals and families across the state, including education programs, support groups, online classes, and mini grants.

In addition, we will be offering free, quick, and confidential memory screenings in person. These screenings are a simple way to check in on memory and thinking and can help identify whether further evaluation may be helpful. Screenings are not a diagnosis, but they can be a valuable first step for peace of mind or early awareness.

Whether you are curious, have questions, or are supporting someone you care about, you are welcome to attend.

What to Expect

  • A community presentation on brain health, Alzheimer’s, and dementia
  • Practical information on risk reduction and early awareness
  • Overview of local and statewide resources and support
  • Optional memory screenings available on site

This event is open to anyone in the community. Whether you are looking for information, have concerns about memory, are a caregiver, or simply want to learn more about brain health, you are welcome.

Memory Screenings

Free, quick, and confidential memory screenings will be available during this event. No diagnosis is provided, but screenings can help determine whether follow up may be helpful.
