About
Come experience the power of music, connection, and community with the Forget Me Not Chorus. This welcoming chorus is designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s, related dementias, or memory loss and their caregivers.
Participants are welcome to join at any point during the seven week session through April 3rd. We are always happy to welcome new chorus members and their caregivers.
The final concert will take place on April 17, and all are welcome to attend and celebrate.
Spaces are limited, so advance registration is encouraged. Contact Ann Farris: FMNChorus@alzalaska.org or (907)561-3313
Volunteers
Volunteers are welcome to sign up to assist with the chorus. All volunteers are required to attend a one hour training session provided by Alzheimer’s Resource Alaska. Please contact Ann for more information.
About the program
Forget Me Not Chorus is based on a model from The Giving Voice Chorus Initiative. Learn more at www.givingvoicechorus.org.
We live and sing on the land of the Dena’ina people.
The State of Alaska recognizes 23 surviving Alaska Native languages as official languages. We include lyrics in the language of the Yup’ik people to recognize and honor that Alaska Native Peoples are here today and have been since time immemorial, and to celebrate the generations to come who will carry these languages and traditions forward.
Thank you to our Music Director Mary Schallert and Accompanist Cathleen McLaughlin for their time and talents.
