A Meta-Analysis of Tea Drinking and Risk of Parkinson’s Disease

Singapore - Tea is one of the oldest and most popular beverages consumed in the world. Tea is chock full of helpful substances such as polyphenols, methylxanthine, caffeine, different lipids, amino acids, mineral substances, and volatile compounds. The health benefits of tea include weight loss and preventing heart disease and cancer. In fact, polyphenols in tea have been proven to reduce and kill tumors.

With the aim to evaluate the association between tea drinking and Parkinson's Disease risk, a meta-analysis was conducted based on published studies. The analysis confirms the relation of tea consumption and Parkinson's Disease.
