  • February 14-21 Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Education Week, promoted by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners
  • February, third Friday, National Caregivers Day
  • March is Developmental Disabilities (DD) Awareness Month, as promoted by the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities
  • March 25 is Seward’s Day
  • May is Mental Health Awareness Month
  • May, first Saturday, ARA‘s Amblin’ for Alzheimer’s
  • June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month
  • June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
  • June 21 – Summer Solstice – “The Longest Day” promoted by the Alzheimer’s Association, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice.
  • June 22 — (first Saturday after the Solstice) Alaska Fraternal Order of Eagles #4207 Summer Solstice Charity Golf Tournament, benefiting ARA
  • September is World Alzheimer’s Month
  • September 21 World Alzheimer’s Day
  • September 23, 2023 – Anchorage – Alzheimer’s Association Walk to end Alzheimer’s
