New to the care coordination world, Alyssa has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology and minoring in Justice from the University of Anchorage Alaska. Alyssa’s choice of careers was heavily influenced by her parents who both work in the education field and work with children who tend to have intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Her experience in witnessing the effects of mental illness, Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease through family members has also played an important role in her choice of careers.
At the beginning of 2022, she became a Certified Care Coordinator for CCRA. Her goal is to gain as much knowledge about care coordination and become a better advocate for those who need help seeking services to better maintain their quality of life. Alyssa has lived in Alaska most of her life, and when she is not working she spends her summers fishing, hiking, and spending time with her family and her two cats. She is beyond excited to start her career here at CCRA and looks forward to working with new clients and helping them feel like they have a voice, are important and are valued.
