For agencies and providers to deliver COHO-funded services, all direct service providers (DSPs) must complete an 8-hour Dementia Care Essentials training with Alzheimer’s Resources of Alaska (ARA). COHO is a pilot program available for qualifying individuals in the Mat-Su Borough.

This class is designed for agencies and providers aiming to offer COHO-funded services to those living with dementia. This essential training, led by Alzheimer’s Resources of Alaska, equips participants with an 8-hour comprehensive course on Dementia Care Essentials. Upon completion, attendees will be certified to provide COHO person-centered care, enhancing their ability to support individuals with dementia in their homes. The program also includes reimbursement incentives for training completion, ensuring participants are recognized for their commitment to quality care.
